Days of Christmas 12-13 (Snowman Bath and Andrew's Concert)

Monday, December 12, 2016

Happy 12th day of Christmas Malnar boys! Santa will be here in just 13 days! Have you ever thought it would be fun to look like Santa? During bath tonight, make Santa beards and hair with shaving cream and play with snow! Ho Ho Ho!!!

This is another annual favorite but Benjamin's first time to partake! The big boys were so excited!

Benjamin was not so sure.

Yep, definitely not too sure. It didn't help that big brothers went into crazy rowdy mode.

But once he saw how much fun they were having he reconsidered...

Yep, definitely fun!

And of course the bigs talked daddy into getting in with them again! That's a full tub!

Ben went from unsure/unhappy baby to deciding it was the best bath ever!

Jackson took to writing in the shaving cream on Justin's back. He was very proud of his A&M logo. #raisingemright

Happy 13th day of Christmas Malnar boys! Santa will be here in just 12 days! Tonight is Andrew's Christmas program at school and we can’t wait to see your performance. Be brave and sing pretty. We will be there to cheer you on!

Justin got there early and snagged us front row seats! Yay! We were right behind our favorite performers! And didn't they look handsome?! The bow tie and suspenders were Andrew's idea. Excellent choice buddy! He looked extremely dapper!

For their school program, the two younger classes go first followed by the two older classes. The singing of the first grouping is a little hard to make out. These are 2 and 3 year olds after all. There's usually at least a few kids crying and many deer in the headlights expressions and just a handful of actual singers...most of whom are shout-singing. But the older class does a pretty good job! You can actually hear the tune, make out the words and there are even motions! I can't believe Andrew is now in the big kid group!

He was an excellent performer!

And after his perfect performance, we managed to snap a perfect picture!

Cookies were waiting afterward. It's really all about the cookies.

Cookies are serious business. Also, Mr. Andrew looks 4 going on 24 with that serious expression!

We celebrated afterwards with Andrew's choice for dinner...burgers and milkshakes!

And for the grandparents, here is Andrew's concert...all 4 minutes of it! Jackson pointed out that we waited longer for the concert to start than it quite a lot. Thanks to Will for the video!
