Date Night

As our boys get older, it's fun to spend some time one on one with them while nurturing their individual interests.

Jackson jumped at the chance to go to a TAMU Band concert with me a few weeks ago. He sat and listened so attentively, and even excitedly recognized one of the songs from one of his preschool prep videos.

A few days later, we met up with a couple of his friends from school and their moms for Chick-fil-A's Mother-Son Date Knight. It was so cute! They had the restaurant decorated like a castle and had special themed crafts and such. Jackson was thrilled to wear his knight costume, meet the cow, got a balloon sword and played it up with his friends.

Love this sweet boy so much!

Did you know that Andrew doesn't really like Chick-fil-A? It's weird, but every time we go, he refuses to eat and therefore does not get to play. It ends in a power struggle and tears every.single.time. So instead, he got a date night with dad. They went to eat pizza and then walked around Lowes together. Justin said that without big brother around, Andrew talked non-stop the entire night. I would say he had a pretty good night too!
