10 Years of Us

On Thursday, Justin and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary!

And what did we do to mark this joyous milestone? Thank goodness we had our cruise last month because our actual anniversary celebration wasn't exactly what we had in mind.

Thursday (our actual anniversary) was the first day of freshman New Student Conferences, so I worked from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. It was ok, because we had plans to go out for a quiet dinner, just the two of us the next night. Unfortunately, it wasn't to be. I had been home about an hour when Andrew woke up crying and vomiting. Justin ended up spending the night upstairs on the floor in the bathroom with him. So romantic, right?

On Friday, Andrew was much better and acting basically normal, but along with our babysitter we decided not to risk it and we ended up having a family night instead of our romantic dinner for two. Trading candlelight for snowcones at the park is pretty much par for the course for this stage in our lives.

Hard to believe this kid was wallowing and whimpering on the floor in the bathroom just 20 hours earlier...

Tonight we continued the family celebration with movie night featuring our wedding video.

When there are no sisters around, you end up practicing your dance moves with your brother. =)

Of course we sang the War Hymn at our wedding reception which the boys enjoyed. Here, Jackson took the opportunity to practice his Yell Leader moves.

10 years in, our life together is messy, chaotic, loud, exhausting...and completely fulfilled

Happy Anniversary to us!
