20th and 21st Days of Christmas (Celebrating with friends and Gingerbread House decorating)

Saturday, December 20, 2014
Happy twentieth day of Christmas Jackson & Andrew! Santa will be here in just 5 days!  Tonight we celebrate Christmas with our friends who love us like family all year long. Have fun making salt dough ornaments and exchanging gifts with Jilly and Alex!

More than one little tried to eat the salt dough, but I would still say it was an overall success! We just painted our ornaments tonight (salt dough is always a two part activity due to the baking time) so stay tuned!

After dinner the kiddos exchanged presents....

...and we attempted to get them to pose for a picture. Ha!

Ok, well these two were cooperative at least. But then again, they are always a little too cooperative when it involves acting like they like each other!

Oh my how these two cuties have grown over the last 4 Christmases! (Both in size and their affection for one another too, it seems!)

A little Christmas tree shaped brownie decorating rounded out a very fun evening spent with our friends.

Happy twenty first day of Christmas Jackson & Andrew! Santa will be here in just 4 days! Grammy and Pop and Nana will be arriving soon and our home will be filled with with family and the Christmas spirit. Capture some Christmas spirit with your very own house-- a Gingerbread house!

Sunday morning church proceeded our Gingerbread house decorating, and my did these boys look handsome!

But later that afternoon we got right to work.

Jackson says that the Gingerbread house is his favorite Christmas activity.

What's not to love? Quality time with the family accompanied by lots of sugar! Jackson's approach is "one for the house, one for me". Andrew's approach was "None for the house and all for me!" I do believe more candy was consumed in the making of the house than actually went on the house but I suppose that is part of the fun!

And you can't let all of that good icing at the end go to waste, of course!

All done! Ta-da!
