17th-19th Days of Christmas (Hosting the Aggies, Cookie Decorating and Christmas Tree Camping)

Wednesday, December 17, 2014
We didn't actually do an official activity this day. Instead, as Jackson would say, "the Aggies came over!" We hosted the leadership team of the Orientation Leaders...all 37 of them!

It was a packed house but a good time was had by all!

Happy eighteenth day of Christmas Jackson & Andrew! Santa will be here in just 7 days! Santa loves cookies and heard that you do too! Decorate some Christmas cookies and enjoy them after dinner with mom and dad.

Viking Andrew and Daddy did the honors of mixing up the dough.

This little guy loves to help in the kitchen. Whenever one of us is cooking he comes in, pulls up one of his little chairs and says "Whatchoo doin Mommy? Hep you!"

Both boys were eager to help cutting out the dough.

Jackson rocked at it this year. He was even surprisingly good at gently lifting the shaped dough and placing it on the cookie sheets.

And Andrew was very good at eating the completed cookies!

Jackson was quite methodical about his sprinkles...

Poor kid being asked to smile and show me his completed cookie before eating it. Aren't we the worst parents ever?

Andrew ate about 3 bites of his cookie and then decided it was more fun to play in this bucket.

Happy nineteenth day of Christmas Jackson & Andrew! Santa will be here in just 6 days!  Christmas comes but once a year and we only get to enjoy the tree for a short while. Tonight we will enjoy the tree and special family family movie night while camping in the living room by the tree!
We brought the two twin mattresses from Jackson's room down to the living room to make our big pallet on the floor. We watched the movie Elf, at Christmas cookies and enjoyed lots of snuggles. The backache that I have today was totally worth it! =)
