Hollywood Studios and Chef Mickey's

Friday of our Disney trip was Hollywood Studios and my birthday! Happy Birthday to me! This was actually the second time in my life when I got to spend my birthday at Disney--the first being in 2009 when I was pregnant with Jackson. Not a bad way to spend a birthday!
Obligatory pic with the Sorcerer's Apprentice
Rope drop was an hour later this morning, so we were all a little cheerier!

First on our itinerary was The Great Movie Ride (lost on the kids but fun for the grown ups), followed by Disney Jr. Live. Now, we are primarily a PBS family, but the kids have watched Disney Jr. on occasion. It was a cute show and the boys seemed to enjoy it.

The highlight of the day for Jackson was Toy Story Mania. We had fast passes so didn't wait at all, but I understand why there is typically an hour+ wait for this ride. It was awesome!

We saw some more shows, Beauty and the Beast and Little Mermaid. Jackson loved them while Andrew was antsy, but they were really good too.

Andrew's favorite part of the day was the Honey I Shrunk the Kids play area.  We were so grateful for these matching bright orange shirts (courtesy of Aunt Janet and Grandma Ann--THANK YOU!) because it was easy to keep up with them as they ran all over the place.

Next we played for a little while at the Frozen snow ground. So fun! Sadly this is the most "snow" that our boys have ever encountered. Come on polar vortex--send some snow to College Station this year!

We finished the day at Hollywood Studios with the Frozen sing-a-long and got to see Elsa, Anna and Kristoff.

We returned to our hotel for naps, then headed back out in the evening for our character dining experience at Chef Mickey's.

We got to meet all of the Fab 5, starting with Goofy.

Next was Pluto. Andrew's response was the same for all of the characters except for Minnie who he loved for some reason!

Jackson was so tickled to meet all of the characters! Honestly, so were all of the grown-ups too!

See, Minnie won Andrew over!

Donald was perhaps my favorite. He had a lot of personality and declared that he was #1! He even signed the frame with "Donald--#1".

And because it was my birthday, I enjoyed some dessert--or three. =)

Andrew enjoyed his dessert too!

What a fun night!

If it was socially acceptable for my children to wear mouse ears everyday they would. Seriously, is there anything cuter?
