Game Day!

Have I mentioned that Jackson loves the Aggie Band?

Inevitably, it came up in conversation that the Aggies were playing at Kyle Field this Saturday, and Jackson immediately asked "Can we go watch the band march in???" How can we say no?

We were running a little late but made it just in time after the band stepped off. We were a little afraid of the crowd right around Kyle Field (104,000+ fans!) but we found a great spot to watch near the Quad.

After watching March-In, we stopped to cool off for a few minutes inside the MSC.

Once we had cooled off a little bit, we headed back outside to check out the Swagcopter, you know the maroon helicopter Coach Sumlin flies in to check out recruits on Friday nights. #yessir

Our timing was perfect because then we got to watch the Parson's Mounted Cavalry come through to "park" their horses. Also known as "the horse parade" to Jackson.

Our path back to the parking garage took us by Sully where Jackson showed us his "two gig 'ems".

And maybe we need to make it a goal to get a picture like this of them in every fountain on campus!

We made it back home in time to watch the kick-off of the game with plenty of time to spare. In fact, thanks to a lightning delay, we ate dinner and got the boys to bed by the middle of the first quarter freeing us to watch the game with no interruptions! Whoop! And not that I'm complaining or anything, but as expected, it was kind of a boring game with the Ags dominating and a final score of 70-3. Gig 'em Aggies!
